I just want to share my experience without getting too personal. Scott Kruger represented me in my personal injury case. He had an uphill battle due to some extenuating circumstances, and I was even turned away by other firms, but not by him! I would have been totally lost in this process if not for Ingrid W and her team at Heimerl and associates. She helped me maneuver through some very muddy waters and helped me through every delay in the book the work comp insurance threw at us. I Highly recommend Ingrid for anything you need involving workmans comp. She is responsive and takes time to explain the details that matter in your case. I couldn’t even get the work comp insurance company on the phone to let me know what to do and who to go through and they just let me sit and worry about my physical and mental health and my works human resources offered just about the same amount of help…none..I felt disrespected and so overwhelmed..wondering why nobody would let me know what to do after my work injury..aside from a 1800 number to call that offered no help. Bills were coming in, I was told I couldn’t work due to my work restrictions that the doctor my work sent me to put me on. It was a scary feeling with rent and bills due and no help from h.r. or work comp in sight. I had never dealt with a work injury before and I’m so glad I called heimerl and associates and got the help and assurance I needed from Ingrid and her team. If your wondering whether or not to seek help my advice would be 100% yes. Work comp will leave you high and dry if you don’t have proper representation, someone with your interest in mind. if you are getting work comp you need a lawyer, seriously. the insurance company, it’s representatives, and their independent medical examiners, are literally some of the grossest, most deceptive, manipulative, unethical (which isn’t illegal), groups of people I’ve had the misfortune to come across. the ones that are meant to direct your healing and take care of you are exactly the ones you need to look out for the most. if I didn’t have heimerl & lammers to take the lead for me, I’d literally be out of house and home, with a broken body… totally screwed. I appreciate Ingrid and Marci and their efforts to explain things and anticipate incoming nonsense from “the dark side…” even when I was in a lot of pain and twitting out, they were never short or dismissive with me, and I’m incredibly thankful for their treatment in one of the worst times of my life, thank you.
